Dylan Dodds

Hello! I’m a CS undergrad at NYU, graduating in 2027. Most of my work so far has been backend and infrastructure related. In my last internship I shipped an on-prem RAG platform as the sole engineer. More recently, I’ve been building uselimit, a metering layer that enforces quotas and cost controls for AI APIs.

Outside of work, I enjoy mapping out and understanding complex systems, and contributing to open source. I’m currently especially interested in the OpenTelemetry Collector. I hope to continue to grow my experience and knowledge of backend, infrastructure and systems in real world settings.

In my free time you will often find me in the gym, spending time in nature, traveling, learning a new language, practicing Jiu-Jitsu or playing tennis or golf.

On this site, you can expect technical notes, project writeups, and ramblings about various developer-related topics.
